Movie Review: AN EPIC, EXCITING WORLD WAR II ADVENTURE!

A stunning and moving account of the Battle of Britain which was probably the most important battle of all time. The script and aerial sequences are perfect.
Modern war films such as the tedious Saving Private Ryan focus on speed and fast camera work but the B of B is an accurate representation of the events of 1940.
Forget Pearl Harbor, the flying sequences in this film are of real Spitfire, Hurricanes, Heinkels and Messeschmidts (sp)

This has to be one of the best war movies ever made and I thought it was extremely authentic from the aircraft, to the clothing, to the locations. This movie is about the Battle of Britain in 1940 seen from both sides. I don't think many people understand how close the west came to being overtaken by the Nazi's and the Japanese. If the Battle of Britain had been lost, the world now would be a very different place.Movie Review: True to Life Depiction

This is one of the best World War II movies I have ever seen. In actuality, I bought it so I could do research for a WW II short story I'm writing for the Dance En L'Air anthology being released at the end of this year. I never planned on enjoying the movie as much as I did. As someone whose father served in WW II, it means a lot to have such a true depiction of the times.Movie Review: Battle of Britain

The film completely illustrates the courage and the determination of the men and boys of the RAF who were so outnumbered and out gunned! But they showed an undaunted attitude towards he enemy that will live in the annuals of arial combat for all time.
