Movie Review: A WONDERFUL Movie!
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a movie about broken people. But it is so much more than that! In this broken-down row house in New York City, a number of disfunctional people are brought together by a family group of aliens, to face their common enemy, a greedy real estate developer. Particularly noteworth are Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy, as an elderly couple faced with her growing dementia.The humans face a number of crises, and help out the aliens--who help in their turn.
This is a warm hearted film, a funny film, a suspenseful film. Above all, this is a film you will not want to miss, not possibly!
Movie Review: Oldie but goodie

My children enjoyed this film growing up and I thought it would be enjoyed by my grand children. It was a tremendous hit and watched three times the first day. Their ages are three and six. Caution, there are a few curse words but were overlooked by the kids. The story was understood, even by the three year old. The music caused them to get up and dance to some '40's tunes that they might never be exposed to. The older cast and the delight of the robots kept them mesmerized and introduced them to a great film that wasn't Pixar.Movie Review: Must be Spielberg haters here?

There are so many good movies, and so many bad movies, and reviews are certain to sway both ways. This movie is one that should not reflect bad ratings, or reviews. Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy are classics, which adds to the movie already. But the workings of Spielberg are what make it good. So if reviews are what is going to make you buy this, or not buy this movie, ignore the bad reviews. I am sure if you go to all the other Spielberg movies you will find the same people downing his work. Enjoy the show....Movie Review: Love this movie!

I absolutely love this movie! and my children and grandchildren have loved it also! I think the Editorial review done here on Amazon STINKS! It probably didn't have enough blood and gore (like NONE) for his taste or not enough sex (again, NONE) which is what we parents really like in a movie! There are far too few movies that we can feel comfortable watching with our children or grandchildren. It is sappy, but there are alot of people out here that love sappy. It is really a cute movie and I would recomend it!Movie Review: An rarely heard of classic

The official review by Amazon misses the point of this fun movie. True, if you are expecting the greatest movie of all time then this might fall a little short but honestly, it's just a fun movie. The story is simple but charming, the nolstalgia factor of the 80's wonderful and the special effects are great for it's time. And it really has some heart to it. Overall it's great to see this again after so many years and most people I know think it's a lot of fun, with a healthy dose of cheese! ;)
