Movie Review: Great Story, Great Director, Great Movie
Summary: 5 Stars
No problems here with this release. No real special features, but at least it's not one of those crappy snap cases.
Anyway, cinematography is A+, as well as the acting. This is one of the greater films from Stanley Kubrick because of its incredible story telling. It's long, but it's all good content. Watch this if you wanna see somethin' good.

You'll either love "Barry Lyndon" or hate it, but you won't be ambivalent. While it's a masterpiece of cinematography, costumes and script, the pace can try the patience of Job. One interesting aspect of this film, is the way in which the story, of Redmond Barry, is told, through narration, and film visualiztion, as presented by Kubrick. This is a wonderful movie -- cinematograpy is excellent. It is about 3 hours long and as Lyndon's life is going down hill, the pace of the film slows. I loved the accurachy of the music as he arrives in Prussia -- the piece had already been written in the 18th century.Movie Review: Kubrick's Finest!

If there ever was a period film that puts you into the time it takes place Barry Lyndon is it! My favorite Kubrick film, my favorite film ever! Wonderfully lyrical and masterfully done like a masterpiece painting. A must see!
