this flaccid entry is to the legend that is Barney. There is little trace of Thematic coherency. Barney somehow seems to believe that just because he is purple and cute, and has a a pacifying effect upon children, that he can ride roughshod over the principles of Aristotlean drama. If, perchance, Barney had every deemed it worthy of his oh-so-fought-after time to take a look at the Poetics, he might have learned that just stringling together a bunch of episodes does not a drama make. Plot? Character? Action? Two words of advice for the wordsmiths who crafted this leaden lump: Don Quixote.Movie Review: One of her favorites

My daughter loves Barney and this is one of her favorite DVDs. I personally don't care for it as much but she can't get enough of it. I wish they had done some more with letters and numbers but they have some fun shapes and color activities. The songs are catchy and my daughter always jumps along during the exercise portion and tries to sing along.
