Movie Reviews of Barbie FairytopiaMovie Review: Cool Movie! Summary: 5 Stars
Hi, this is BARBIE LOVER (again) and this movie is pretty cool.It doesn't have anything TRULY scary in it for me. (Swan lake: evil villain's red eyes are so freaky)
SPOILER:Elina is a fairy without wings. She longs to fly like the other fairies, but they all tease her.Meanwhile, the evil fairy Laverna (twin to Fairytopia's ruler the Enchantress) has kidnapped the guardian fairies in order to take over fairytopia. The fairies at the Magic Meadow have trouble flying because this green smoke thing makes them unable to fly.Elina decides to go to the guardian fairy Azura for help.Dandelion,Elina's best friend and Bibble the cute puffball(what is a puffball, anyway?) go with her. Elina also meets other new friends like Hue,(a big, beautiful butterfly) and Dahlia the dryad. But Laverna kidnapped all the guardian fairies and Elina's friends,so Elina has to face Laverna alone. But she gets 'hypnotized' by Laverna to make her ruler of Fairytopia. But Elina resists when its too late, and destroys Laverna and frees her friends.(to know how she did it,get the movie)Together they save Fairytopia and Elina gets a very special gift(get the movie to find out.) End of SPOILER
Bible is sort of cute;the only word that he says that I can understand is ''Elina-poof'' which means Elina,I think.Hue and Topaz (guardian fairy)have cool accents(that's what I look for in a movie,I don't know why.) Ruby and Topaz are my fave guardian fairies. There are some funny scenes in the movie, too. This movie is great for little kids but I'm 10 yrs. old and I like it.(please DON'T call me a baby!) It's good for fantasy lovers, too. So buy this if you have a little girl(um,6-9,maybe) in your family that loves Barbie and fairies! BARBIE LOVER Please vote on my review! :-)
PS that kid who said on the Barbie Fairytopia Crystal doll reviews "Die,Fairytopia. This doll should marry the devil!".he/she should be quiet and :-x,because he/she is hurting other people's feelings, including mine.
Movie Review: An awesome movie......with a few drawbacks Summary: 5 Stars
I like this movie. It's got more danger in it than some of the newest Barbie movies, and I like that. Elina and her friends are chased by firebirds and fungus. Elina has to get past guards and other obstacles. It has a lot of self sacrifice and and doing things for those you care about. There is some humor and the animation is beautiful. I don't agree with the reviews that say the animation is half-done and ugly...I found it to be enchanting and whimsical. The pastel colors blend with the bright ones to make the overall color scheme very pretty. However, there's a couple of things I didn't like.
1: Elina and Nalu's little... 'relationship'. It's so ridiculous! They hold hands as he pulls her through the water and they look all dove-eyed into each other's faces and smile and then when they have to leave, Nalu grabs her hand and says, "Be safe. I hope we meet again." He swims off and leaves Elina smiling and looking fondly in his direction. And I'm like, "What?!?!?!?" In Mermaidia, he's in love with Nori! Is it just me, or is this Prince Nalu a player and a cassanova????
2:The two happy trolls who rhyme all the time bug me. They're a major marketing ploy. They're irritating and there because they'll be another thing to sell. And they are ugly, big-eyelashed dwarfs who act all sweet and innocent and smile one-toothed simles. They get on Elina's nerves a little, but not enough. Not the way they would in real life.
Overall, though, I really like this movie. Once I was past the totally random Prince Nalu part, this was an awesome movie and I loved it. Very highly reccomended for little girls and Barbie fans in general.
Movie Review: Bi-Lingual Fan Summary: 5 Stars
The reason I've decided to review this movie is because I wanted to offer a little advice to those of you who are searching on-line. I gave Barbie Fairytopia 5 stars for 3 reasons.
First it comes in both English & Spanish audio versions. This is a rare feature with children's titles, but a must have for our family. If any of you are thinking about teaching your child a second language, watching cartoons is the easiest way for them to pick it up. My daughter understands more Spanish then I've ever spoken at home because of these "Bonus" language tracks included.
Second, it is an actual movie with total run time of 70 minutes. This is wonderful for those parents who might need a few minutes of peace and quiet every now & then. I hate buying a feature and it turns out to be 4-30 minute TV episodes, which actually translates to be 4-23 minute episodes. My daughter loses interest after the first episode and never fully returns to enjoy the entire thing. This feature offers a warm story line based on bravery, loveable characters, and good quality graphics.
And finally, I loved the price. I bought it on Amazon.com for under $10 which now a days is just as rare as Spanish. I always regret paying full price of $19.99 for a brand new DVD only to find my 2 year-old using the new DVD as her new play toy. It's kind of hard to take away baby's new Barbie movie from baby or teach them why scratches are bad for playability. (I hope you parents out there understand what I'm trying to say.) In conclusion, this is a great movie for a great price.
Movie Review: Just to tell 'aksdla' something... Summary: 5 Stars
Well 'aksdla', You do not swear online!
Here is how you offended me:
I had a good school-report and I chose the Fairytopia movie because it is so cool with all the fairies, barbie, bright colours and a BRILLIANT story-line!
Of course, my whole family came to the computer so that we could all read the reviews. My 4 year old sister said
"What do those stars mean and what does that say?"
Of course, I couldn't tell her. Akskdla was being very silly. Some people don't want to see swear-words up on their computer, so do you mind just saying you don't like it and why and not just going and swearing?
Here is what I have to say about the movie:
Brilliant animations, lovely voices, beautiful characters, amazing story-line and lots of lovely things, Also, on this DVD, you can play a game, as with all Barbie films!
The game is 'Make Bibble Dance!' You choose the moves and music and Bibble will perform, my 4 year old sister kept boogying with Bibble!
Overall, this is a very fun item that will provide 80 minutes of entertainment since that is how long it lasts! I am a collecter of the Barbie movies, and though it is BRILLIANT my favourite is Princess& the Pauper, because the songs are beautiful!
Bye!
Movie Review: Actually a Story to Enjoy Summary: 5 Stars
Looks like this is a love-it-or-hate-it kinda movie. Me, I loved it! There's actually an interesting story to follow along with the colorful graphics--something an adult viewer and animation buff like myself can appreciate. But I can see how the very strength of this film may become a problem for real young viewers as well. Perhaps this is a movie more suited for tweens and up than toddlers. Nevertheless, it is probably THE best Barbie flick to date, sharing the fave spot with Rapunzel (I'm particular about Rapunzel) in my heart. Pegasus can't touch it, not even with the magical wand of light.
