Movie Review: entertaining
Summary: 5 Stars
My granddaughter won't watch anything else. She loves it. Can tell you when Thumper is trying to teach Bambi how to say bir "d". She is only 2, but giggles when giggling is called for and is sad when something sad takes place. I'm even seeing new things each time. The creation is so similar to the first Bambi that we can watch the first and the second successively and enjoy them both. It also has many lessons involved. Politeness, obedience, tolerance, strength, honesty, and life lessons. A typical great Disney film.Movie Review: Very pleasant surprise!

I usually do not like sequels (especially to animated features), but this one pleasantly surprised me (and my 7 yr. old daughter). I have to say first and foremost that it was actually FUNNY! The message it sent was also nice. It was heartwarming and hopeful. Being an adult, I thoroughly enjoyed it, which is hard to say about a lot of kid's movies. After watching them, I would never buy the sequels to Aladdin or even Lion King. But, this one is a definite keeper!Movie Review: Adorable and entertaining for children and adults

Our group of 3 adults and 2 children all loved it. It's funny and touching, and really keeps the kids' attention. None of us remembered the original Bambi, but that didn't keep us from enjoying this one.
The strongest theme is the softening up of an overly tough father with his doting son, in case that matters to you.

Summary: 5 Stars I have not seen Bambi in a long time. Call me a softy but when the openning kicked in I started tearing up. It is such a sweet sweet movie with such a sad undercurrent. The animals are as adorable as ever. The Chinese watercolor backgrounds are as rich as the originals, it felt right. This whole movie felt right. I think if they really tried they could have done quite well releasing it in the theaters.

I bought it to go with the original I bought it this last year and it as well is still unopened. So, I guess I'll come back after I have viewed it, ok.
