Movie Reviews of Bambi II

Movie Review: Disney's Best Direct To Video yet.....
Summary: 5 Stars

With animation that closely follows the style of the original Bambi, great voice talent, a script that does not depend upon gratuitous pop culture references and a score and songs that are tight and non-trendy, Bambi II lives up to the expectations that Walt's first vision gave us.

This is the most satisfying, best animated and presented follow-up film Disney studios has given the public to date. I hesitate to call this a sequel to the original film as the events in Bambi II take place immediately after Bambi loses his mother and centers around his father, the Great Prince of the Forest, taking responsibility for raising his son *Patrick Stewart's vocal performance is a true delight*.

It is time we were all reminded of just how remarkable Disney Studios is and what they can produce if they put their minds to it. Well done!!

Movie Review: Wonderful!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great sequel to the original. I think it is one of the best that Disney has produced. The music is absolutely wonderful and I just ordered the soundtrack after watching the movie.
Bambi is missing his mother and dealing with going on without her. His father has to make the decision whether or not to raise him or have another doe in the forest do it for him. Bambi, of course, wants to stay with his father. Thumper and Flower are here again and cute as ever. The animation is beautiful, the story line is appropriate for all ages and the charachters are endearing. My 8 year old neice watched it with me and she was interested from beginning to end and was singing the music long after the DVD was over.
This is a must for Disney collectors and Bambi fans.

Movie Review: Suprisingly good sequel!
Summary: 5 Stars

After Bambi's mother has been shot down, his father (voiced by Patrick Stewart) must raise him and show him the ways of a prince. However his friends Thumper and Flower help him along the way to help his demanding father appreciate him.

Here's one of the few disney sequels that can actually work unlike some! the animation is pure theatrical quality and the voice acting is quite good especially Stewart's role in the film. This is in my opinion the best disney sequel the company has to offer because it's as touching and funny as the original, if your a disney fan i suggest you check this one out and enjoy.

The DVD has only a couple of decent extras like a featurette and fun-facts about the movie plus games for the kids.

Movie Review: Perfect!
Summary: 5 Stars

I don't really watch many Disney films at all. I have the original Bambi and now I bought and have Bambi 2. I have NEVER got emotional in a cartoon before even the first movie was not all that dramatic by todays standerds but this one can jerk your heart strings. The movie is smooth high quality and you can absolutely see all the fine work done to it. Mind you alot of the features are child based however more over the movie is enjoyable to ALL those of all ages. Alexander and Patrick are PERFECT voices for the part and you can quickly get into the movie. This is also a warmer movie mostly focusing on Bambi trying to get his fathers attention and love. Great tear jerker NICE touch worthy of the title!

Movie Review: A little hesitant to get it at first
Summary: 5 Stars

I was a little hesitant at first to get this DVD because let's face it... Bambi is a TRUE classic and sometimes direct to DVD movies haven't had the BEST of reputations. Even after talking to a friend of mine who had bought it for her children, I was still hesitant. Boy I sure am glad that I got it though! I sat down to a beautiful masterpiece of work. Brilliantly animated and voiced. And it truly stayed with the story line of the original.. nothing cheesy or silly and I was just so amazed by the beauty of the message behind the story... a father coming to know his son and a son coming to know his father. If you are at all hesitant about this movie DON'T BE! IT TRULY IS AMAZING AND WORTH OWNING
