Movie Review: My Favorite Movie!! A 9 yr old's opinion...
Summary: 5 Stars
Balto is the greatest movie! Fun, fabulous, great for the whole family! Here's a short story about Balto: There's a wolf dog, he's half dog, half wolf. In the movie, people don't think that wolves are the best animals but he turns out to save the whole town by bringing medicine for the sick children. The characters are Balto, Janna (husky), Luck and Muck (polar bears), Boris (bird) and Steel (the husky) and Rosie (little girl). And if you want to make sure you like it, you can always rent it. But in my opinion, Balto is the BEST MOVIE EVER CREATED!! It's almost better than LION KING I and II, but don't get me wrong, those are very very good movies!Movie Review: Balto is entertaining and enjoyable!

I love Balto, and always have. I especially like it because it REALLY happened in real life. It has great animation and I love the goose! I like how Balto and Jenna have pups in the end(so cute!!!) It's kind of romantic(in a cartoony way) because she's a purebred lady who marries this halfbreed mutt who loves adventure. The only thing is, you're gonna half to explain to little kids why Steel is so mean. Little kids tend to talk more about the bad guys then the good one's for some reason....hmmm. But, be ready for alot of twists and turns in the lovable family adventure filled movie!Movie Review: The greatest animation arrived on DVD !

Balto is great. I have seen it countless times on LD. Too bad Universal chosed to release this as Full frame. The LD is in Wide Screen and has better sound than this DVD but if you don't have the LD to compare to, this DVD still highly satisfying with crystal clear picture and ok sound.The story about Balto, a half dog, half wolf who save the small town in Alaska by delivering medicine to the town sick children. This movie is funny, heartwarming and plenty of action as well. Guarantee to entertain the whole family. Highly recommended.
Movie Review: Excellent Family Movie!!

My 11 year old daughter requested this on DVD when our video deck went out and I was quite surprised because it was not a "new" movie. My daughter went on to relate that this was a true story and it touched her deeply - all very positive when you have so much negative in the media today. She went on to say that there is actually a Balto statue in New York City that we could visit. There is a strong message in this movie - and a positive one at that that leaves a lasting impression! It's a cartoon, and is therefore not guaranteed to be 100% historically accurate. If you want accuracy, watch a documentary, although I doubt it would have the same impact. I mean, geese don't talk do they? If this film respected the original story, then it would be far less interesting. If only more viewers could see this.
