Movie Review: A Classic!
Summary: 5 Stars
This is another film that shows the bravery of the unsung heroes the firefighters. Kurt Russell, William Baldwin, Rober De Niro, and everyone else do a great job in this film. The story is carried all the way through by the great acting of Kurt and William who play two brothers who lost their Dad and now have become firefighters themselves.
The story is great, it doesn't just focus on their careers, but it also goes into their personal lives. It really does help the characters more human. It also gives a great portrayal of how no one's perfect. Ron Howard really did do great when he made this film and it will go down in history as a classic. I really feel that every recent film dealing with firefighters will always have to be judged according to this film. Does it stack up to this movie because this is one of the best films dealing with this subject. Get it, it really is amazing.
Movie Review: Breathtaking!

One of my all time favorite movies "Backdraft" still blows me away with it's breathtaking fiery special effects and it's intense plot about firefighters fighting fires all over Chicago's ghetto neighborhoods. The fires are being caused by a series of vicious arson attacks and the firefighters are now on a mission to track down the arsonist and are in the midst of fighting off budget cutbacks from a sleazy alderman. They are in for a surprise for who they discover is the real arsonist. This movie is absolutely amazing with it's fire scenery and the awesome acting from Kurt Russell and William Baldwin. Robert De Niro's role isn't all that great but not that bad either.
Go and buy this DVD! You can't go wrong with this breathtaking classic. By far one of my all-time favorites and don't listen to the negative reviews.
Movie Review: Great Movie!

I love this Movie, being I am a Fire Fighter, I can relate to alot of of happenes. Sure you wont see Backdrafts in every fire like in the movie, But thats why its a movie. Its not going to be 100% correct all the time. The special effects are awsome, and the actors fit the parts perfectly. I wish they would have givin Dinero a bigger part in the movie, but ohh well. I highly suggest this movie to everyone. You will get to see what Fire Fighters do, and how they put there life on the line everyday to save lives and property. One of my favorite movies, and it reminds me why I put my life at risk to do what I love....... being a Fire Fighter.

This is the greatest movie of all time! Kurt Russell IS Lt. Stephen McCaffrey,William Baldwin IS Brian McCaffrey, Scott Glenn IS John Adcox, this si the greatest movie ever! I have seen it hundreds upon hundreds of times, and it always gets better. If only Hollywood made more movies like it. Kurt Russell does an excellent job as Lt. Steve McCaffrey, the hardnosed, veteran Lieutenant, whose life is all about fire, and putting it out. It si simply a great movie. The plot is good, Robert DeNiro does an excellent job as Don Rimgale, and the subplot about why Az did what he did with the closing of firehouses with Swayzak is great.Movie Review: The Most Excellent Movie Around!

From the begining you are swept away by this movie. Backdraft is about fire, and how firemen fight it, but within it all, there's a secret brewing and lives are lost. This is a worthy movie and I give it many man kudos. It even had some touching parts in it almost made me cry. We need more movies likes this, it has action, drama, comedy, and horror all in one. You will fully enjoy this dynamic movie. If I could give 10 stars I surely would. So buy this and make it become part of your DVD collection at home and enjoy.There is nothing significant about this DVD but the movie itself.
Well worth the money and time.
