Movie Review: Unappreciated Retro-Sci-Fi Film BD Blast
Summary: 5 Stars

Finding a kind word about this movie was so difficult, that I had to find out for myself! And was I HAPPY for it. There were so many bad reviews because Kassovitz's loss of final cut, had the studio edit and refinished the film. 1942's The Magnificent Ambersons was cut by 60 minutes by RKO. A crime; but there was enough great footage left for a feature that stands tall in cinema. Though it's not Orson Welles' work, this movie is also great even after a studio makeover. It has so much happening that you a can see where it would have been longer. It should have been longer, but as it is; it is a BLAST! I'm asking people what they think (many love it) because the critics (both surreal and armchair) are all too happy gang-banging this flick to show solidarity with the lamenting Director. That's nice, but an empty procedure; because what Kassovitz did do, should be enjoyed even in its present form. I almost passed it by and I loved it. BD A/V quality; sharp and loud!
