Movie Review: Neptune a hit with my Baby Einstein's.
Summary: 5 Stars
With two children under 4, I've seen every Baby Einstein and must say this one is a real treat. It's quickly becoming our family favorite. I hear a lot of people crashing on Disney after buying the company and I disagree. Someone said this is the first actual full Disney production and I think they deserve a "Bravo". My kids literally drop everything and run to dance to Neptune and the brilliant, stunning underwater photography. The innocence is very much still there, only the quality and attention to details are better. The puppet bits are funnier than ever, and cleary aimed at helping parents see the light side of things too. The music is great. There are all kinds of fun scenes with adorable new kids enjoying water, and nothing seems forced or put there to be PC. (Which is probably hard to avoid for Disney) The pacing is a little faster and we like it that way. It still hits home with my kids, and keeps us entertained too. Even our older boy seems magnatized to Neptune. Frankly, we were about to quit buying Baby vids like this after getting Beethoven and feeling the magic was gone. Our kids didn't even watch it one time through as it seemed like a mindless parade of toys. Our favorite was Baby Van Gough until Neptune arrived. This one has a wonderful natural flow, covering everything from shells at the beach to splashing in the bath and watching the washing maching go round and round.... We love how it covers things in the ocean our kids have never seen before. Anyway, we are thrilled the magic is back, no matter who made it happen. We're believers again, even when we were at first sceptical. If this is Disney's first, we can't wait to see what's next. They seem to have a fresh perspective and we say, "bring it on!" First timers? Buy Neptune, Van Gough, and Motzart!
