Movie Reviews of Baby BalletMovie Review: Great ballet class video Summary: 5 Stars
My little girls dream of being ballerinas, but are too young to begin classes. Miss Rosemary has basically filmed a ballet class - she explains each step and demonstrates it, then the viewer watches as she and a class demonstrate with music. After each step has been demonstrated, they then play the whole class straight through without pauses for explanation. The repetition is great for small ones. We first rented this from Netflix, but my kiddos loved it so much that we finally just bought a copy. We plan to purchase more of Miss Rosemary's DVD's for Christmas.
Movie Review: Great Fun! Summary: 5 Stars
Sure, it is very technical and fast paced and the film quality leaves a lot to be desired. These are, however, the reviews of the adult perspective. The video is perfect for my budding preschool ballerina. She doesn't care about the film quality or that she can't keep pace with the teacher; she only knows that she is wearing a frilly tutu and playing "ballerina class". She loves it and begs to watch is relentlessly. I definitely recommend this DVD, not to teach your child ballet, rather to simply have fun and dance!
Movie Review: Good book & DVD Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this for my just 2 year old granddaughter. She really likes it and so does her 7 year old sister. When I saw her two weeks ago, she was actually doing a couple of steps. I knew she was interested in ballet prior to my purchase, because her big sister is taking dance. She watches the video when her baby brother is taking a nap and she and mom have some quiet time together. My daughter does it with her and has fun.
Movie Review: Very good video Summary: 5 Stars
They did a great job of breaking the video up into short segments. The instructor thoroughly demonstrates each step before the 'student' practices with the class on the video. The length is about 30 minutes long, which is about as long as my 6 year old can handle. My 4 and 6 year old daughters have no prior ballet experience and are fully able to follow the instructions on the video.
Movie Review: Functional and FUN!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I haven't danced in forty years and so when I decided to teach my two granddaughters (aged 4 & 7) the basics of ballet, I needed something to refresh my memory. This CD is perfect!! It is just like attending ballet class with a wonderful instructor. We have been having so much fun!! I highly recommend this CD for all beginners, young and old!
