Summary: 1 Stars
Both of these are terrible, as were most musicals of this era.
In 'Born to Dance' (1936) James Stewart demonstrated that singing and dancing were better left to others and clearly Cole Porter who contributed the score could and would do better whilst the story of sailors on shore leave in New York would be done much better in 'On the Town' (1949).
'Lady Be Good' (1941) is another stinker.
