Movie Review: Electrifying
Summary: 5 Stars
I no longer buy DVDs, after experiencing the clarity and quality of blu-ray. Thus when I heard that Josh Groban's AWAKE was released as a blu-ray, I did not think twice about springing for it.
Sure, there is premium pricing but that is the price that one pays, when one wants to take advantage of using the product right away.
One thing I need to point out is that the video footage is a bit grainy at times and this is probably par for the course, in such live events, where you cannot bathe the entire stage in light, to avoid the graininess. The uncompressed Audio via Blu-ray is great, even though I wish they would have taken advantage of the gobs of space available in blu-ray, to add more content to the disc.
Bottomline, I really enjoyed the product and would buy it again, for the price.

Josh has done it again! Brought together great guests and wonderful, moving music.
His music is something to experience not only with the ears but with the eyes. His humor and passion come through so strongly you feel the music as well.
I especially love Lucia Micarelli's skill on the violin. Her version of Kashmir is one everyone should hear!
Overall, the DVD of the live concert fulfills a need for those who are unable to attend a concert. Of course nothing is better than live but this DVD/blu-ray comes really close.
Movie Review: Awake Alive Josh Groban Concert (Blue Ray)

I got this for my wife and she loved it, great gift for your wife/girlfriend, women adore this guy. Groban is a very talented singer and he shines in this concert (he's not a bad drummer either). The musicians playing with him are superb and the production of the video is excellent. This is better than being at the concert if you have a good HDTV and surround sound system.Movie Review: Awesome

Once again Josh Groban shows he is the man. This DVD is a must for any Groban fan.The directing is superb showing everything from all angles. Josh treats his fans to an unbelievable concert. He is truly a first class show man and gets so very personable to the audience.His band and their performance is also first rate.
