Movie Review: Feels Like You're There
Summary: 5 Stars
The production quality on this Blu-Ray is exceptional. The Video Quality is simply stunning and superb in full HD. It immerses you even more into the atmosphere of the concert. The Audio Quality is also terrific and truly worth the purchase. The music is never drowned by the audience, the praise and clappings at the end of songs are well levelled and not overwhelming.
The blu-ray starts off impressively with the vocals and music peaking perfectly in line with Josh's appearance on stage along with the lights and visual effects.
The blu-ray catches the atmosphere of the concert perfectly with just the right level of audience shots and participation and the viewer gets a drift of being there live. The transition between songs are well-done and does not skip a beat, although by other reviewers that were there live, the blu-ray is shorter and missing more audience interaction. However, the average viewer of this blu-ray will not notice any part missing and it flows as though it's fluid and organic (never truncated).
The encore performances are a blast, and the blu-ray ends with a mighty rendition of the song 'Awake', which at the moment has become my number one Josh Groban song.
I do not have a 5.1 setup and relied only on stereo and pcm through my lcd tv, however the audio was still majestic and inspiring. I can only imagine the greatness with a full 5.1 setup.
Although the concert itself had songs that I am unfamiliar with, I find them to be a fair mix of popular and unique songs that blends in well throughout. The only drawback personally was that the song Canto Alla Vita was not a duet with The Corrs which would have been a great bonus considering there are other musical talents taking the stage in this concert.
Currently, I find myself replaying my favourite songs one-by-one. All songs were sung perfectly by Josh Groban given the live setting it is truly a masterpiece of a production and show. Highly recommended even for non-fans
