Movie Review: Timeless and Endearing Story to Watch Again
Summary: 5 Stars
Evan aka August is an orphan boy gifted with musical talents. He hears musical tones in ordinary noises all around him and feels it in his bones. This is a delightful story about how he finds his parents, two musically gifted people, who don't know his existence. Aside from the great soundtrack, the juxtaposing of classical cello and electric guitar, and the riffs Evan/August creates on his guitar, there is also the poignant searching of Evan for his parents, and later his mother for him, and his father for his mother. The three souls are joined and connected through music. This is definitely a movie that you can watch over and over again, because of the freshness of the music, and rooting for the orphan to find his parents despite his circumstances.Movie Review: Wonderful piece of art

A friend asked me to return this movie to a rental store, but before doing it, he said: "You should see it". I said, okay I'll give it a shot. To be honest, I never expected a movie could fulfill my heart with so many emotions. August RushMusic and love melt to make a fine piece of art strong enough to be enjoyed and remembered for years.If you are one of those who believe on detiny, and have a positive spirit no matter how life is treating you, you must see this movie. Things happen for a reason, I call it small miracles, keep believing and never give up, you will get your reward sooner or later. This movie is brilliant. It is one of the most touching movies about family and faith that I have ever seen. The music is incredible, and the visual images are breathtaking. The story is one of an orphan and his parents, who reunite through their music and their faith.
If you are the type of person that needs absolutely every detail of a movie to be perfect and to jive without any flaws or "how could that possibly happen" moments, this isn't for you. But if you are looking to be inspired and for an uplifting, hopeful story, this is perfect.
For young children, I would not recommend this movie, because there are some elements that would probably frighten them.

I have purchased this DVD because I found it beautiful as a story and of course the music.
Looking for your real parents from a child's point of view is a lifetime achievement.This story could very well be a real story that some children experienced in their own lives.The genius part of it though,is a little bit more difficult.we are not in the Renaissance period where artist,composers,painters,scientist,astrologers,are born.In my opinion there are very few geniuses in our mist today.
Sad,however looking at this movie you get inspired to listen to sounds around you,to be hopeful for the future,and to keep dreaming that dreams can and do come true.Be it in finding what you want and accomplishing your goal.
Movie Review: Quietly Fabulous

I didn't know what to expect with this movie. I really believed it to be a "chick-flick". I was wrong. This is an awe-inspiring movie that, I believe, most people just glossed over...a huge mistake. The critics didn't give this much of a chance...too bad for them. I found this movie to be incredible from the story line to the music to the development of the plot line. The climax was a tear jerker even though you knew all along he was going to be reunited with his parents but the process by which this happens just keeps you filled with hope. And that is the message of the movie, hope kept alive by a dream. As the song lyrics say,"Hold on tight to your dreams". Watch the movie and be throughly entertained.
