Movie Review: Attila delivers on action and romance
Summary: 5 Stars
The first time I saw Attila was when it appeared on TV. I was swept into the action and story then and once I bought it on DVD I was not disappointed. It was as I remembered. The set were great and the acting performances of Gerard Butler and Powers Booth both were outstanding, you felt their relationship was true.
If you are a student of history you will get a view of what it must have been like living the nomadic life of the Huns and the grandeur of Rome even as it's days of glory drifted away.
This is a movie worth investing in, for not only the story but if you are a Gerard Butler fan like myself, for Gerry's magnetic appeal also.

I re-discovered Gerard Butler when I got Phantom of the Opera which is addictive. In looking to see other movies he has made I came upon Attilla I remember seeing it on TV.( I ordered it for my liberary ) I remember "Attilla" as hating and loving Attilla and apparently enjoing it or I wouldn't have bought it. Gerry's being the lead roll is the reason I loved and hated the charecter. So if an actor can do that to a viewer he must be very good. I'm sure there is more to history than just what we read of history and to embellish it some goes to make it interesting. LOVED IT. SueMovie Review: a good historical movie

Well the very first thing I watched this movie was because I LOVE Gerard Butler. But when I watched this I found it very entertaining. Forgetting the fact that my fav actor is in it this is a very good movie. I know that Attila isn't close enough to the descriptions of the real Attila but the man plays a good role. The battles were great I absolutely love this movie and recommend it. I personaly give it 6 out of 5 stars because it is entertaining not like other historical movies. and beacuse my fav actor plays the role awesomely!! I LOVE YOU GERRY!!!!Movie Review: #1 favorite

Gerard Butler is my all time favorite and this movie is my all time favorite of his. His acting is sublime, his looks are the best. Whoever did his makeup certainly knew what they were doing.The movie itself is mezmerizing. He is my total choice for "Jamie" in outlander. He has all the character looks. Even when he is young, he can play that part clean shaven.The movie "Attila" is one I have watched over and over. I doubt anyone would be dissapointed with this movie. I won't beat around the bush, the ONLY reason I bought this was for the wonderful & gorgeous Mr Gerard Butler. And, boy, was it worth it! He just literally oooozes sex appeal in this!
Ok, as an historical piece of drama, you could probably pick holes in it, left, right and centre. And, it's no Gladiator....
But if you enjoy it for what it is, plenty of action with the odd bit of romance thrown in, then you're onto a winner in my book.
