Movie Review: Do you like really, really far out fantasy?

Are you a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000? Did you ever watch Cave Dwellers? That is the second in a series of fantasy films. And ATOR THE FIGHTING EAGLE is the first in that series. This is, in other words, the back story, that flash back the robots were joking about in Cave Dwellers.
The story is simple - a child is born who can bring down the evil empire of the spider god. So Ator must be hidden. The story is not that simple. There are a few twists and turns, and even a surprise ending near the end, as the person who saved him shows his true colors. Also, Ator ends up marrying his own sister, though she turns out not to be his real sister. Like I said, twists and turns.
Made in Italy, I think, with lots of lovely women in the form of amazons and one witch. Lots of guys dressed up like Huns and a giant spider god! They kept the special effects down to the bare minimum and mostly the story depends on the character driven plots. And the skirts the women wear.
There seems to be no rating but at one point we're in a bar watching a female pimp collecting money from customers, so I don't think this is meant for younger viewers. I would say, PG-13? Made in 1983, 98 minutes long, in color. If you enjoyed it I would also suggest The Beastmaster (Special Edition) which kind of has the same plot. I would also suggest the well known Conan - The Complete Quest, the not as well known Hawk the Slayer, and the semi-well known but very well made The Sword and the Sorcerer.
