Movie Review: One of the Best All-time Movies
Summary: 5 Stars
This is simply one of the best movies ever made. The script, the scenes actually shot at NASA facilities, the all-star cast providing top-quality acting, the sound track, the combination of Michael Bay, director, and Jerry Bruckheimer, producer, are only a few distinctions. The action starts within minutes and never stops. The special effects are unmatched. The characters created by each actor make you believe what you see. Bruce Willis and a dozen other actors do an excellent job. I do not understand why Bruce does not get critical acclaim for his efforts. How could anyone not agree this is one of the very best movies ever made?Movie Review: A technically excellent DVD.

I'm fairly new to DVD, so I was anxious to watch Armageddon which just arrived yesterday. The Dolby Digital 5.1 Audio was terrific. I also enjoyed the Aerosmith Music Video included in the extras. I don't like it when the DVD starts playing immediately when you put it into the player. This is one that does. I prefer to get a menu first so that I can check the A/V setup.One scene bugs me a bit. The one where AJ has been fired and some 2 or 3 days later he's already the owner of his own business. Not very plausible. I think the story in "Deep Impact" was better, but Armageddon is a lot more fun.

Armageddon is the kind of film which Hollywood does best: It's fun and flashy and at the end of the film you will shed a tear and cheer! For the English majors in the house, Bruce Willis is a Beowulfian booze guzzling character who leads his merry band of booze guzzling warriors against the demon from hell (a planet destroying asteroid. The sets on the asteroid are top notch and convey a sense of evil. The acting is better than average for this kind of genre, the editing crisp and well-paced, and the production is on the whole very slick. If you love Hollywood, and all that that implies, you will love this film.Movie Review: Easily One Of My Favorite Movies

I have seen over 500 movies, and this movie is in my top ten greatest movies of all time. This movie is JAM PACKED with action and exciting moments. Just following along is EXHILARATING! And the cast... THE CAST!! You have Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler, Steve Buscemi, Owen Wilson, Michael Clarke Duncan, Billy Bob Thornton, and William Fichtner. Does it get any better than that? I have seen this movie over and over and still love it. You may shed a tear over it, so keep the Kleenex handy. Combines action-adventure with comedy, science fiction with drama, and tosses in a bit of patriotism and romance. Something for everyone. Great special effects do not allow science fact to interfere with science fiction, but hey - it's not real, people, it's a movie! Relax, quit over analyzing everything and ENJOY!
