Movie Reviews of Are We There Yet?Movie Review: I'm Getting Ideas From These Kids! Summary: 5 Stars
"Are We There Yet" is a HILARIOUS movie! I expected this movie to be filled with swearing since Ice Cube has top billing in the
film, but really, there are only four dirty words in the movie.
The film is about a "playa" who sells bobbleheads and trading cards for kids. One day he finds a hot woman down the street. He
finds out that she is a "breeder" and she asks him to drive her
kids to Canada for New Year's. The kids wreck Nick's new car and
act atrociously. Though I would buy some soap for these kids for
all these things they say that they shouldn't even think, but it
is still comical and leaves me out of breath. Some musical talent is when they play Nelly's song "Ride Wit Me" at the beginning of the movie (edited for the kids!) and when one of the kids performs an Aretha Franklin song (Respect), and surprisingly, has some musical talent! The kids (even though they are devils) have taught me some tricks I'd love to use. But
I think that writing "HELP ME" on a notebook for a trucker to see would be the funniest (that did happen in the movie!). Full
of music, musical talent, and acting talent, this is a movie to
watch year round!
Movie Review: Long Awaited Role for Ice Cube Summary: 5 Stars
Ice Cube has been waiting for an opportunity to show his *softer* side. I imagine when he got this script it was a no-brainer - THE PERFECT ROLE FOR HIM TO SHOW HIS BREADTH AS AN ACTOR.
Ice Cube has really turned his life around and I LOVE watching him play such a hilarious part in such a hilarious movie. Some people seem to think this movie has no audience. But, those people would only know that if they've seen it. And, if they've seen it, then *they* are an audience! This movie DOES have an audience, that's inevitable (hence the 5 stars).
I really love it when people keep using older, cliche' sayings like "are we there yet?" or "i don't do mornings" or "must be MONDAY!". This movie is appropriately named, because it seems to be playing on a timeless type of humor similar to the sayings I listed above.
I have some silk screen shirts I made last summer with things like "are we there yet?" written on them. I also made one that said "i *am* the big dog!". Love it! This movie really encapsulates that irresistable, sassy attitude. Watch It!

Movie Review: Are We There Yet? Summary: 5 Stars
HILARIOUS movie. Good, clean family movie that will make you sore from laughing.
Ice Cube stars as Nick Persons, the owner of a sports collectibles store. He hates kids. So when he falls for Suzanne, a single mom with TWO kids, he doesn't know that the kids hate any man who tries to impress their mom. Suzanne has Nick doing favors for her all the time. One day Suzanne has to fly to Vancouver for her job and plans that her ex will pick up the kids. Well, at the airport he calls and says he won't be able to. With a lot of hard thinking, Nick volunteers to fly with the kids.
Determined to chase Nick away from their mom, Kevin & Lindsey wreck havoc at the airport, so Nick has to drive them in his brand-new Navigator. Of course the kids damage the new vehicle as much as possible, and behave like spoiled brats...I won't say anything else except that this movie has a happy ending.
Movie Review: A Very Good Funny Family Movie Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely loved this movie. I kind of had my doubts when I saw Ice Cube's name because I didn't know if it would be okay for family viewing, but after watching this DVD I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It's a DVD that I will watch over and over. Ice Cube's character, Nick becomes infatuated with Nia Long's character, and is disappointed to learn that she has two kids. The little girl is especially sassy, and neither of the children trust Nick who has the task of driving them across the country during the Christmas holidays. The children put Nick through hell, and try to run him away from their mother.
All in all the movie ends well, and they all learn to like each other.
