Movie Review: Five stars for the movie, four for the DVD
Summary: 4 Stars
Another State of Mind is a classic look at early 80's punk that no punk fan should miss. This isn't today's wanna-be punks, this is the real deal, kids doing it for themselves, out on a 10,000 mile tour while being videotaped for this documentary, and the struggles of a long tour and making almost no money at all, keeping the show on the road.
Great to see Mike Ness at his beginnings, even admitting he watches General Hospital.
The DVD looks and sounds good, but damn, if there was ever a DVD screaming for some deleted scenes, it was this one. The filmmakers HAD to have shot countless miles of video - but not one single second of what's not in the actual movie shows up here. That's a major disappointment. But the movie is amazing nonetheless.
