Movie Reviews of Angel - Season Five (Slim Set)

Movie Review:
Summary: 5 Stars

This season is the shows' best, hands down. The adition of James Marsters as Spike was ingenious.

Movie Review: Best Season Of The Series
Summary: 5 Stars

Season 5 Of Angel Was The Best Of The Series. The Gang Takes Over The Law Firm Of Wolfman And Heart Who They Have Been Fighting Since The Beginning Of The Series. The Addition Of Spike Character From Buffy The Vampire Slayer Added Nice History To Angel's Past As They Reminisce In Several Of The Episodes. The series ended with not all the Major Charcters Surviving. Tune In To See Who Lives And Who Dies

Movie Review: SPIKE IS SO COOL!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

i like this season of Angel (not cause it's the last season) but most of the fun episodes are on there in my view. my favorite episode out of the whole season (well two) is when the gang had a party at WOLFRAM & HART during halloween, and every one was doing everything lorne told them to. plus the episode Angel & Spike went to rome to "SAVE" buffy from a monster, then they soon have a set of flashbacks to Drucilla & Darla^_^

so yeah it was a fun littl last season and i will miss it (but hey there are comic books for the whole EPILOUGE SERIES thing from IDW)

Movie Review: EXCELLENT DVD!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

If your a fan of David Boreanaz and James Marsters you'll love this DVD.They both work excellent together!!!

Movie Review: They Won't Fade Away
Summary: 5 Stars

I still don't see how a show like "Angel" was cancelled. Though Season Five wasn't the best of all (that goes to the third), it was leagues better than Season Four. I'll save my rants for another day, however. I'm here to rate the final (as of yet) entry in Joss Whedon's Buffyverse.

Angel and co. taking over Wolfram and Hart was a stupendous idea, and it worked very well. Not to say it didn't take some getting used to. Angel's broody mystique is left behind in favor of a (sometimes jovial, sometimes pissed off) "good guy" trying to stay good. And, let me tell you: it's a struggle for ALL of the characters.

NEWBIES
The addition of Spike to the show was at first a bit awkward, but everything fell into place around the fifth episode. Harmony as Angel's secretary was delightful, especially in "Harm's Way", the episode centered around her. Cute, funny, innocent, and a bit evil all wrapped into one. Knox was a pain in the butt from introduction to departure, and Eve was cute as a button, albeit underused. Lindsay McDonald was, as always, entertaining. It was great to see him brought back for the final season. And Illyria is one of my favorites.

OLDIES BUT GOODIES
Angel was drastically different in this season, and it was a bit disconcerting. Except when paired with Spike, he seemed a lot less compelling. However, he came roaring back to shape for the last few episodes. Gunn's arc seemed rushed, mainly due to the episodic nature of the season. I'll say nothing about Fred and Wesley's arcs except that they were beautifully carried out and produced some of the best scenes I've ever seen, period. And dear Lorne. That is one character that I will truly miss. Though he never got the screen time he deserved, he shines every time he hits the stage. Cordelia's character also gets a well-deserved send-off, even though she isn't a regular this season. Connor also loses his spot as a regular (yesssss!), but he does show up. Vincent Kartheiser actually manages satisfactory acting for his scenes. Surprise!

NOT FADE AWAY
Everything came to a close in the final episode "Not Fade Away." It was a great way to end the series; heartbreaking, great central story, throwbacks to old moments of Buffy/Angel alike, sensational fights, and a final scene to die for. For the surviving characters, hopefully not literally.

HITS: Episodes 1, 3-5, 7-10, 12, 15-16, 18, 20-22

MISSES: Episodes 6 & 14

"Angel" was blessed with 1 classic season, 3 great seasons, and 1 good one. Here's to the show that did it all. These characters will never fade away.

9/10
