Movie Review: Andre Rieu in Tuscany
Summary: 5 Stars
After watching the show on public TV, I decided to order the DVD. I invited few friends and we spent the evening enjoying this wonderful mixture of great music,beautiful sceneries, a charming conductor and orchestra without mentioning the participation of the people present at the show in the "piazza". I was happily surprised to discover that the DVD is actually longer than the TV show and gives great insight of the production. Since then I had to order three more of the same DVDs for friends and I doubt that this will be the end of it. Enjoy it! Listen, sing, laugh and cry!Movie Review: WOW

I dare you to watch and listen to this DVD (and Live in Dublin as well) with out getting emotionally invested in the performances, the DVD image is the best so far, of the Rieu Cnncerts, as is the audio, if you have top notch home theater video and audio equipment you will be carried away with the beauty of it, the surround sound is some of the best on disc, even better than Dublin, not since Arthur Fiedler has a conductor been able to generate the electric enthusiasm in his orchestra that Rieu manages, Thank you Mr Rieu and PBS for the introduction to this class actMovie Review: Absolutely Spectacular

I can watch this special every day and not get tired of it. The singing is superb and the backdrop of Cortona is breathtaking. For anyone who has seen the show though - a question...in the fourth part that includes the Italian National Anthem, there is a variety of Italian songs that are playing including one that starts off with a girl playing a clarinet. It is quite a great song to sing along to, but I would like to know what it is called. If anyone knows, please email me with any help you can give!!!

My Father lives with me. One day as I was passing through the living room where he was watching TV, I heard the most beautiful song in the world, in my opinion, "The Blue Danube" performed by Adre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra. I'd never heard of this Rieu fellow, but WOW, could they make music! I have since seen half a dozen of his Public Television specials and have purchased several of them for my DVD collection. I'm not really into classical music, but this is good stuff! You will enjoy it! Andre, bei mir bist du schoen!Movie Review: Romance!

I have several of Andre Rieu's DVD's and each one is a joy to watch. The Piazza in Cortona is transformed with the beautiful lighting. Andre always "specializes" his concerts to his audiences, too. I cannot complete this review without saying something about the artistic camera work. The way the cameras capture the orchestra, but in particular the focus a person in the audience during a certain piece of music, just completes the whole mood. This is a lovely concert.
