Movie Review: 'Anaconda' is Mammoth!
Summary: 5 Stars
Mammoth piece of film-making. Yes! The movie is about a documentary crew going down the Amazon river to tape a mysterious tribe. But, that's not all that's waiting for the team. Jon Voight as a crazy, old snake hunter is waiting for them! Yes! Wait, that's not all that's waiting for Jennifer Lopez, Eric Stoltz, Owen Wilson and Ice Cube! Man, they packed every comedian in this movie, oh it's true! The snake hunter helps the crew find the tribe and shows them long snakeskin. "You mean there are snakes out there dis big!?" A curious remark comical Ice Cube made. Oh yes, besides a giant snake crunching its victims, Ice Cube has funny punches that he delivers to the snake hunter. You don't mess with that sucka! Also, a waterfall falls up? It was strange. Yes. There are plenty of surprises in this motion picture and I was shocked that there was another anaconda! Talk about wild adventure! Those snakes must have moved more than one-hundred miles per hour and must have been hungry to have eaten all of those people. Now, I'm hungry.Movie Review: One of the funniest B-Movies ever!

I love this movie! The first time I saw it, I expected a decent horror film and was very disappointed with the lousy acting, terrible script and cheap special effects. My wife, however, opened my eyes to the comic brilliance of the film, particularly Jon Voight's hilarious performance of the Ahab-like poacher determined to capture a giant snake. I now see the movie in a completely different light. Everyone in the movie is awful! Voight's accent is a Brazilian/Cajun mess (I swear it changes from scene to scene!), Jennifer Lopez looks clueless, Ice Cube just grimaces the whole time and gives everyone dirty looks and Eric Stolz is just along for a paycheck. The snake looks like a cheap rubber novelty toy and the ending is so cliched it could've been written by a grade schooler. But thanks to the ineptitude of the cast and crew, Anaconda is one seriously funny movie. BUY IT!Movie Review: Original Beautiful Cover vs New Ugly Cover

Oct 7, 2008-Mom and I were very disappointed with Amazon.com upon receiving this DVD. This page is deceptive: It shows the original cover of the movie (which we already had on VHS). We wanted to have this movie on DVD and looked everywhere we could think of to try to find an edition of the DVD with the original cover and not the cover showing the people. When I saw this page I thought this was it. Alas, we received the movie yesterday and when we opened the box it was the new cover with the actors on it instead of the beautiful snake. In my opinion that was deceptive advertising. Other than all that we have always loved this movie.
Update: 4/2009- we have since received the movie with the beautiful cover as shown and the DVD works, therefore I take back my previous rant.
Movie Review: A good horror movie on a great DVD:

I think this is a good movie. It's a horror movie, not an action/adventure film. Don't listen to the bad reviews. This movie is rated PG-13 for terror and violence brief strong language and some sensuality. It's about this crew played by lopez, ice cube, owen wilson, and more. They are in search for a tribe that they are filming. This guy who is bad and is played by voight, lures them into thinking that he is stranded and he gets onto their boat and takes over. He then leads then into something so terryifing that it will litterally take their breath away. I don't wanna tell anymore. See it for yourself. This DVD has some great features. It also has a cool keep case and crisp sound and picture. It also has a widescreen and fullscreen version of the movie. Buy it.Movie Review: the anaconda strikes the panther

I brought this movie for christmas i really liked this movie and it was pretty cool when the snake killed the panther and it crushed it so tight that one of the panthers eye's poped out i think that they should have made this movie like lake placid where the snake mostly attacks animals then humans like caiman alligators, goats, deers, the second anaconda looked bigger then the first one that got shot the second anaconda should have attacked the panther in the first place and they should have made where it also attacks animals too big but helpless animals still this movie was good
