Movie Review: We need more of this type of movie

The cast in this movie worked. I am now in the process of reading the book. I don't know why this movie got lost in the shuffle but it shouldn't have. I especally loved Becca Gardner as Griff, the granddaughter. I hope to see more of her in the future. Griff is a powerful force in the book making a family of her estranged mother and grandfather. Becca plays the part wonderfully. After Griff leaves her Mother and goes back to live with her grandfather, Einar eventually gives Jean the best compliment a person can give a Mother. I don't understand why this movie is overlooked and under rated.. The wonderful storyline, the outstanding cast and the cinematography is outstanding! Robert Redford is always at his best, as is Morgan Freeman and J.Lo shines is this drama..It truly has some remarkable, hold your breath, omg scenes and equally some heart tugging ones..I don't like the tag of "chick Flick" as it really isnt as it really has some shocking, hold your breath scenes, even tho it is classified as a "Western", again it really cannot be classified into one Genre.. This is a movie about forgiveness. Redford blames Lopez for his son's death. Lopez shows up at his ranch needing a place to stay for a while with a granddaughter he never knew he had. As nature would have it, Redford falls for the little girl. Redford is getting old, but don't mess with his granddaughter. Lopez's abusive boyfriend finds this out the hard way. In the beginning, I thought the movie was going to drag, but then it took off. I ended up enjoying the movie and I think you will too. What a shame that a movie of this quality is released almost accidentally! Everyone is stellar, but the slow to develop story takes all prizes. No flashy acting or episodes, the drama is a lovely mirror for the quietude and scenic loveliness of Wyoming. A "heartland" story that comes from the heart, and should go to the heart of anyone watching. As always, Morgan Freeman is hauntingly beautiful, Redford is bitter but still manages to shine with his love for animals, and Lopez is perfect. The soundtrack is absolutely perfect. Jennifer Lopez definitly holds her own with Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman.The film had great directing and beautiful scenery as well as excellent acting.A story more about forgiveness and life.Jennifer lopez character goes with her daughter to stay with father in law out of desperation running from her ex who is abusive.Although emotions are brought in from everyone in film, from death of Redfords son and freemans strength to move on in his own life and both Lopez & redford able to forgive each other and themselves.A great film!
