Movie Review: Watch It Twice

I saw this as one of the first Elijah Wood films after my interest in his career peaked after his Frodo role. I have so much enjoyed each of his movies. This was was really different, and I wasn't sure how to take it at the first viewing. But the scene near the end when "this isn't happening" happens was the one that really grabbed me. I thought it completely real and subtley but certainly erotic. So several weeks later, I watched it again. This time I knew what was going to happen and I watched it with different eyes. The second time, I thought it was excellent. The acting talent, script, pace and the quirky music all worked together to give a satisfying viewing experience. Elijah picks scripts that are deeper than what's on the surface, and this type of thought provoking movie is what makes this movie one you should watch--twice or more. Just remember that Elijah is an actor--he's not Frodo. And a superb actor he is.
