this is a great animated film that is realistic and powerful. also recommended is heavy metal, wizards, scanners, the thing ( 1982), the texas chainsaw massacre, mad max, blade runner, making contact, and creepers. parental guidness is suggested for this flick.Movie Review: Best movie I've seen in a long time!

Akira is set in 2019, post-apocalyptic Neo-Tokyo. It is a very exciting movie, and the background music is beautiful. Over 200 colors are used in Akira, and the special effects are fantastic. The first time I saw this movie i was _BLOWN_ away. It gave me such a serious headache trying to figure out who Akira was and how this was happening to Tetsuo and so forth. All I can say is its so good it makes your head hurt.
