Movie Reviews of Akira

Movie Review: One of the best Animes I've ever seen
Summary: 5 Stars

Well if your a little tired of all these other Animes that doesn't have a realisitc look to them well look no further. Akira is very smooth in it's animation and in it's mouth move-ments. Although this Anime does have a weird story line and you do get confused with the orgin of Tetsou's powers this is a great buy and as in other reviews you should watch it more then once to fully understand it.

Movie Review: My Favorite Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

There is no question in my mind about Akira being possibly the greatest movie of all time. Akira, in 1989, won the Japanese award for Best Picture, let alone Animated Movie. And I'll be honest, ya gotta watch it four or five times over to catch everything, because if you miss one little detail, you're lost. But, despite the conveluded plot, Akira is, hands-down, the best movie out there today.

Movie Review: Akira is by far the greatest anime ever!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I saw Akira on a weekly anime broadcast on the sci-fi channel. As soon as I saw the opening explosion scene I instantly fell in love. The movie has fantastic animation and a great, deep and confusing plot. Also like most animes it has lots of violence and action but only one nude scene. To sum everything up anyone who is a devoted anime fan should have this movie in your collection.

Movie Review: One of the first great Anime in U.S.
Summary: 5 Stars

This film is one of the front runners that made Anime popular in the U.S. Along with Vampire Hunter D, Akira showed what can be done with animation. It's up there with Ninja Scroll, Vampire HUnter D, and Fist of The North Star. If you're just getting into anime, you might want to hold off on this one until you've seen some other anime and get used to the story telling style.

Movie Review: Greatest Anime ever!
Summary: 5 Stars

After seeing some pretty weird Animes (Evangelion, Aeon Flux, etc.), I have to say that this is definitely the best. The plot is a little confusing and you may have to watch it more than once to understand it, but it's still really awesome! The characters are realistic and the storyline holds all of the terror and trauma of a world in danger. This movie is a must-have!
