Movie Review: AKIRA: DAZZELING, MADDENING.

Akira is one of the most popular animes of all time, and rightfully so. The depth of the storyline combined with the beauty of the art makes the journey of Akira an incredible experience. The film has only one flaw: It has so much information to squeeze into 2 hrs that it winds up being overloaded with a labyrinth of plot. The viewer might be frusterated and confused by the cryptic ending of the film. To understand the story of Akira requires a lot of thought and multiple viewings. But hey, that's another reason to buy the movie. With eye-boggling animation, memorable characters, and a plot that one could write a senior thesis on, Akira is a film that must be owned by anime buffs, and is a must-see for any science fiction fan.Movie Review: Akira: The starter of anime in america!!!

Akira, the best anime i've seen so far. This movie was the fire starter of anime in america. It is not meant for young children nor for the people with weak stomachs. It about a guy named Kanada and his best friend Tetsuo and their gang during a gang bike fight tetsuo gets hurt by a boy with telekinatic power and hurts tetsuo he is treated a lot and is called the Akira test subject. This movie is some what confusing at the end but I watch it again. Its a great movie get it buy it you will be amazed at the graphics. quote mr Matt Stone creator of South Park "Each part of breaking glass is done each by each." Trust me this one will make you cry out for more. The story in this film is not just your regular anime plot, you know a little kid with great power and a bike gang haveing violent fun. This is truelly amazing. It has all the action and mystisism of Fatal Fury, Dragon Ball Z, Ninja Scroll, and Gundam. But, it has been beautifully written,with a high powered revolution, for older audiences that wish for something more than a typical shoot'em up movie. Though the words may not always go with the character's mouths the animation is 10 times better than anything else. No one could say enough about this film, it's just too good.Movie Review: It's like everything wonderful dipped in chocolate.....

This movie is good. This movie is beyond good. If good were a chocolate sundae, this would be three chocolate sundaes. The animation in this film is mind-blowing and is completely re-defines the meduim. The action makes "Die Hard" look like "Puff the Magic Dragon", the characters are great, the plot is a wee bit puzzling....neverthless, this movie takes the viewer into a completely different universe, and one is never quite the same after it. Watch out, because for a good three hours after AKIRA is over, you'll feel like you've been smoking something. Smoking something GOOD.Movie Review: WHAT A GREAT 5 Stars
Akira is probably one of the best known anime films and i must say that is probably one of the BEST anime films in existance. i can't say anything about it because if i do i will end up saying everything and spoiling it for those of you who haven't seen it. but anyway. if you haven't seen it- you really should. it has wonderful animation, a humorous, whiney character named Canada (pronounced Can-ai-da) and a wonderful plot. all i can say is SEE THIS MOVIE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!! (unless you are my friend Jim who pretends not to like any anime whatsoever).
