Movie Review: Couldn't be happier!
Summary: 5 Stars
Like many other reviewers , I had put off this purchase and now am kicking myself as to why! (must not have been using my 'little grey cells" ) I took the plunge for this set, plus Vol 2 and also the A & E movie collection and now have an embarrassment of riches. David Suchet is a wonderful actor and THE definitive Poirot. Some have complained about the quality of the transfers, but bear in mind these were shot on 16mm film stock which seems to have faded a bit over time. I lowered my brightness and increased my color saturation just a bit to view these discs and they look more than watchable to me. Most certainly NOT transferred from old VHS tapes as some reviews have said. Picture Quality issues aside, these mysteries are the real deal! If you've been on the fence about ordering this, just do it. You won't regret it. I also thought the packaging was very nice and I felt as if I did get my moneys worth, which is more than I can say for some other boxed sets I have purchased over the years.
