Movie Review: A nostalgic and enjoyable experience.
Summary: 4 Stars
I'd like to clear something up: Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (AoSTH) were conceived and aired simultaneously. At the end of the second season of SatAM, it was scheduled for a 3rd season, but cancelled in favor of AoSTH.
Though the humor in the show isn't that of a top-rated comedian, it has a childish charm that has the ability to produce a chuckle or two, if only for its lack of coherence. Not only that, but for those who have seen the series before, this DVD will arouse a feeling of nostalgia.
If you loved SatAM, which I did very much, you'll love this one just the same for its nostalgic and simplistic, childish charm.
Summary of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog leads a group of freedom fighters bent on restoring their planet s beauty and freeing its citizens from the tyranny of the evil Dr. Robotnik. The fusion of powerful storylines, witty banter and a dark atmosphere made Sonic The Hedgehog, dubbed SatAM by its legions of fans, a favorite among youngsters and teens when it premiered on ABC in 1993.
