Movie Review: Fascinating

Awesome documentary! Definitely worth buying. It clears up a lot of unfair stigma associated with addiction, accurately portrays the struggle towards recovery and the frustration of relapse, and gives snippets into current brain imaging research and medications used to facilitate abstinence. Great for those with addiction, family/friends of someone with an addiction, mental health professionals, or anyone who is curious about addiction.Movie Review: Great education tool!

This DVD set was recommended to me by a treatment provider who came to speak in my class on substance abuse. Using current research, HBO has provided interesting segments that involve interviews with treatment professionals as well as individuals and families affected by substance dependence. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about the topic or to suppliment the educational experiences of students.Movie Review: Great documentary

As an Mental Health and Addictions counselor, I show parts of this series to my clients, inorder to get them to realize what they are getting themselves into.
I would recommend this series to an professionals who have clients dealing with addictions, and to anyone wanting to learn more about the issue of Illicit drugs.

This is a well researched and beautifully presented documentary produced by HBO on the disease of addiction. It is a great tool for the chemical dependency student as well as a great tool for chemical dependency counselors for use in their educational groups.
