Movie Reviews of AM/PM Yoga - w/Ravi Singh & Ana BrettMovie Review: Amazing -- As Always! Summary: 5 StarsLike all DVDs by Ravi and Ana, this one is totally addicting. It energizes me in the morning and helps me relax in the evening. If you like Kundalini yoga, you will love this series.
Movie Review: Great Gym Alternative plus Peace of Mind in short sets Summary: 5 StarsMy daughter suggested the Ana Brett & Ravi Singh DVDs when I started developing a dread factor towards the gym. I have always been athletic but my same routine became mind numbing! This type of yoga satisfies my athletic drive while keeping my stress under control. I really like the way this DVD covers every aspect of working the body (and mind) in just a short vigorous session. The morning session features some warm-ups and a continuous routine (sort of pilates like) with the breath of fire which helps you get important things covered quickly. Then it ends with a meditation to open and balance the chakras, sort of like getting all your ducks in a row before you walk out the door. The PM session starts with an abdominal exercise to help get you recentered after a stressful day and then segues into an upper body set which is great for strengthening and tension release. The PM meditation works on the nerves and will guarantee a deep and restful sleep.
Their narrative is so explicit that you can do this workout with your eyes closed so there is no craning of the neck to watch the TV like with other yoga programs I have tried. I like this type of yoga with its breath of fire because I really feel I am getting aerobic benefits and cleaning out my lungs while tuning up other aspects of my body and mind.
I am really enjoying the benefits of this DVD!
Movie Review: YOGA DVD Summary: 3 StarsI RECEIVED THIS DVD AND I USED IT IMMEDIATLY- IT IS EASY TO USE AND AFTER YOUR YOGA LESSON YOU ARE SO DISTRESS.
YOU WILL BE VERY SATISFY BY THIS DVD AND ITS EXPLAINATIONS
Movie Review: Ravi Singh Ana Brett AM/PM Yoga Summary: 3 StarsI lift weights 4 times a week, cardio 3 times, and thought yoga should help with my flexibility. I figured a yoga workout in the morning or night would be easiest, but I just can't seem to keep the routine. Maybe because it's a DVD that I have to watch. I'm on one week, then off two doing the yoga.
Seems like a good video when I do use it.
Movie Review: Do Less and Get More Done! Summary: 5 StarsEven though the sets are short you still feel like you covered all the essentials and then some! I started with Kundalini Yoga for Beginners & Beyond and couldn't wait to get more of the Ana & Ravi yoga programs. I was amazed to feel effects just minutes into the workout! I have done other types of yoga before but none gave me the results I was looking for: fast flexibility gains, core strength, back pain relief, and weight loss like their type of yoga does,
This has a morning set which is a great burst of energy. It uses breath of fire through a continuous sequence of poses. The poses are somewhat similar to pilates in the way they work the upper and lower abs, legs, and hips simultaneously. Don't worry - none of the poses last longer then 2 minutes(breath of fire is said to speed up the benefits of the pose) and its simple to follow. There is also a meditation at the end that I add when I have time and am always glad I did for the powers of focus and concentration it gives me. It definitely gives me an "edge" on my day.
The evening set is a set of much slower exercises but they still will work you. They are designed to make you sleep like a log and I do! This also finishes with a meditation. The meditations are really growing on me and its something I never thought a year ago I would ever find myself doing. They work and thats all the motivation I need.
This is definitely a winner - it giives me the best sleep of my life & great daytime energy!
