Movie Review: A Night of Fun!
Summary: 5 Stars
Truly, this DVD has become one of my favorites, due in no small measure to the manner in which it reminds me of my year-plus in the U.S. Berlin Brigade Band (courtesy of Uncle Sam) back in the 'sixties. Fact is, while I heard the BPO perform several times, I never had the opportunity to attend any of their wonderful Concerts-in-the-Greenwoods.
This is a superb performance by everyone -- the remarkable ensemble, its conductor Mariss Jansons, violinist Vadim Repin and, yes, even the audience. I wish I could have been there; now, in a way, I guess I am! What glorious fun!
