Movie Reviews of A Man Called Peter

Movie Review: A Favorite Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a very favorite movie of our family. We love the story of Peter Marshall. It's an inspiring movie of love and faith. It tells the story of his life as told by his wife Catherine Marshall. Peter Marshall was a dynamic man of great faith. He died early in is career of a heart attack but he lived a wonderful life and was a energetic man who loved God with all his heart, felt his calling deeply and acted in accordance with his convictions. It also appeals to our Scottish Roots since Peter Marshall was from Scotland and came to this country to begin his ministry...he became the Senate Chaplin.

Movie Review: Wow! A real servant of God
Summary: 5 Stars

An excellent biography of a great man who became 10 times the man he dreamed he could be because of his personal walk with the Almighty and His promises. His sermons are fabulous and applicable today. My favorite part was his prescience of war and/or danger to the fine young Annapolis students and at last minute, addressed the Christian view of death, only to find out after church service, that Japan had bombed Pearly Harbor, Dec. 7 -- the day of infamy per Pres. Roosevelt.

This should be in everybody's library. Actors very well chosen.

Movie Review: 1950s Peter tells his story
Summary: 5 Stars

Wow, what a story. I didn't remember seeing this as a child but this could have changed my life.

Great story of a hard working preacher that new the Word and what it offered. Never a dull moment.

Show it to your 10-14 year olds, they will love the story line and gives you a chance to talk with them about moral values and strength of character. (Something we surely don't have much of in Congress these days.)

Enjoy the story and talk with your kids during or after it is over.

Movie Review: Excellence
Summary: 5 Stars

I had read this book many, many years ago;it was so inspiring that I had to read it again. I had doubts about my religion but after reading this book and his servmons I live a life of peace all because of a man called Peter. I keep this book on my Kindle because I like going back to it whenever there is a need. I, also, bought the movie. The leading man, Richard Todd, had a Scottish accent which made his role believeable. I recommend this movie, also, most heartily.

Movie Review: A Man Called Peter
Summary: 5 Stars

I remember this movie since I first saw it at the Movie in the 1950's. I am a great grandmother now. So you can see that the movie stayed in my memory all that time.
When I got the DVD I called two of my sons, my daughter in-law and Grandchildren over (for dinner as a motivator). WOW!!!! They loooooooved it. Very effective. My daughter in-law and her husband were really overwhelmed. (They cried just as I did when I first saw the movie) As you can see this movie was not new to me.
