Movie Review: Enjoyed the flick
Summary: 4 Stars
As a movie buff and especially liking outdoorsy-type films, I had a good time watching this fictional flick. I liked the film for the wild west adventure. Knowing it was FICTION, I did not watch it to be educated, but rather to be entertained. If one expects a more factual presentation regarding any movie of fiction, they should turn to other sources such as the library, not Hollywood. I thought Richard Harris did an excellent job portraying the man of his scripted role, and he helped me escape from reality as I became absorbed into his fight for survival.Movie Review: A Man Called Horse

A nice version of a schoolboy's daydream. From captive to a "horse" to a hero to chief of a fierce tribe of indians, topped off with a beautiful princess-bride for dessert. Yep, it worked for me back in my young days when it came out, and still does. This film begat Dances With Wolves, which begat Avatar.Movie Review: wish it was me

He lived my fantasy life.
What's really sad is how, if the roles were reversed, an indian in white society at that time wouldn't be allowed on the front porch, let alone able to become a chief. It's clearly due to an inferiority complex on the part of whites.
