Movie Review: Heartwarming, But Realistic
Summary: 5 Stars
A troubled teenager with more than one brush with the law is given a chance to straighten out when he's sent to work at a camp where blind youngsters learn to adjust to daily life. There he meets and falls in love with a talented gymnast blinded in a fall. Sensitive teen drama stars Jeremy London, Gina Philips, Christine Taylor. Jeremy London makes enough mistakes to make him believable, including making friends with a young blind boy at the camp by encouraging him to pretend he is a cowboy, then breaking a promise to ride with him, causing the young boy to ride off alone. At the end of the movie, Jeremy must make a choice between his criminal friends, and his new camp friends, and again, he goes far enough toward the wrong choice to make him real. This is a great family film that I would highly recommend.
