Movie Review: Great series! Was sad to see it end!
Summary: 5 Stars
This show is very good, and had me hooked almost immediately. The characters are extremely human, and by the time you get to the end, you have a genuine love for each (even the ones you may dislike early on!) It is not a mindless, shoot 'em up action story with tons of violence, but rather, a deep, emotional drama that focuses on a police department, and the relationship each member of that department has with his/her partner, family, and co-workers. At times some of the episodes seem to drift away from the original plot, but in the end, you'll see that each is important in developing the character personalities, and helping to understand them more. If you like police-related dramas, you'll like this one. If you are looking for anything more, chances are you'll wind up hating it.
As a side note, I am REALLY disappointed to find out Bubblegum Crisis is the sequel to this! I was hoping they'd have done more with the remaining characters of AD Police. Kenji is a real man, and Karen & Mary are real women...not barely clothed, boob-bouncin' teenyboppers! Oh well...
