Movie Review: A Christmas Surprise
Summary: 5 Stars
Quiet, understated acting by everyone in this Hallmark movie made this a sweet surprise. Though at several key times, I thought I'd guessed how it would turn out, I was, at the end, wrong. Definitely worth viewing at any time of the year. Meredith Baxter and William Devane shine in playing characters that go against their normal roles.

My husband and I enjoy watching Christmas movies during the Holidays. We enjoyed this movie and will enjoy it for years to come. My husband was in the military and can identify with the young man. Also he can see a small portion of what his parents must have gone through when he was injured and so far away. This video arrived quickly and in excellent condition. My husband and I enjoy Hallmark movies. I purchased this one to give him a few days before next Christmas, so haven't viewed it yet, but I am looking forward to seeing it as Christmas time approaches. I know it'll be a good one. The "Holidays" seem to be synonmous with "family". For this family, there are no more holidays because their son was killed in the Gulf War. You don't have to have lost a loved one to understand the emotions in this story. There's only a few characters but they play their parts superbly. This product is wonderful for this time of the year. I love Christmas and it will warm your heart, at the same time feel releived about the ending. It is such a wonderful movie I would recomend this to anyone who is tired of violence,bad language and the nudity that you can't let your children in the room.
