Movie Review: One singular and magical sensation!!!
Summary: 5 Stars
One of the best musicals of Broadway!!! I love this movie, the songs, the characters, everything. THis movie shows a little bit of the hard work that actors, dancers and singers have to do in order to be in the theatre world. We have to give a great value to all the work that theatre actors made in order to show a great performance on stage. As an actor I should say that being on stage is one of the best sensations, as this movie sings it! One singular Sensation!!!
Movie Review: An Inspirational Film
Summary: 5 Stars
A Chorus Line is my favorite musical. The opening dance sequence and Suprise numbers were full of energy and passion. All of the songs were catchy and I think the film acurately portrayed the struggle and desperation of dancers/dreamers trying to make it on Broadway.
I agree that many of the flashback scenes with Cassie were distracting, but overall, I enjoyed every moment of this film.

I thought this movie was terrific. I have it on VHS but am now going to pre-order it on DVD.I am not one of the fortunate ones that was able to see the original Broadway version, so I have nothing to compare it to.
Maybe it's a little like reading a book then being disappointed at the movie they've made from it. Or maybe it's just that I like musical's that much!
So for you out there like myself...enjoy this movie it was a real treat.

I loved this movie when it was first released. It is not shown on tv or cable enough. I have been looking for it on and off. I was glad to see it on Amazon.com and for this price. What a great find and on DVD! I ordered it and received it in three days. My sister and I have watched it three times already. The actors in this production were excellent. Added to Bob Fosse's choriography as well as the music, the result is just wnderful interpretive dancing. The underlying political message is appropriately intorwoven in the story to demonstrate how insidious was the National Socialist movement in Germany during the depression period before the beginning of WWII.
