Movie Reviews of 30 Rock: Season OneMovie Review: Cutting Edge Wit! Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of the freshest shows to hit NBC in a long time. Tina Fey and the rest of the cast deserve a lot of credit. Alec Baldwin's sharp, corporate character is spot on and Tracy Morgan perfects the half-wit movie star.
I highly recommend this show to anyone sick of simple sit-com humor that takes place in someone's apartment. Every episode is unique and the guest stars really make it a top-tier show. It deserves every award it has received.
Movie Review: Like to laugh? Pick it up! Summary: 5 Stars
Its very hard to find writing this good and consistently funny on TV anymore. Arrested Development, a real gem, was passed over because the ratings never gave it a chance for the mainstream to catch on. I hope this is not the case for 30 Rock. As I'm sure there will be a ton of other reviews discussing the various nuances of the show, I'll simply say that its a great series, the cast is terrific (Alec Baldwin is amazing!) and the writing is superb.
Movie Review: Hilarious show! Summary: 5 Stars
I love 30 Rock! After a slow first episode, the show is off and running and keeps you laughing the whole time. A great cast, with some fantastic supporting characters, along with great writing and a fearlessness to make fun of themselves, parent company GE, and television as a whole has equals the funniest new show in a LONG time! Loaded with blatant hilarity, absurdly funny situations, and subtle jokes as well, 30 Rock is a must see.
Movie Review: Loved this show... more than I expected...... Summary: 5 Stars
I had seen a couple of shows on TV and liked them, I wasn't sure if the whole series whould be any good, so I took a gamble and bought it. I couldn't be more pleasantly surprised, I liked it enough to get addicted to it, I'm definetly ordering season 2.
The story line is very funny and original, it reminds me of Seinfeld where you got to get to know the characters in order to understand how funny it is.
Movie Review: Just as smart as it is hilarious Summary: 5 Stars
I think "30 Rock" is one of the smartest comedies I've seen in a while. Because the show is surreal, it can get away with almost anything. Tracy Morgan is brilliantly hilarious. My favorite episode is "The C Word," because it's an absurd and hilarious commentary on contemporary racism. The range of humor on the show will make it accessible to anyone, but with any good show, it's best when you start at the beginning.
