Movie Reviews of 30 Rock: Season 2Movie Review: Television Perfection!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Let me just start out by saying that 30 Rock is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen, Tina Fey is a comedic goddess in my eyes. This is one of those shows that I just connot aford to miss every week. This show is one of the reasons I said that I could not work on Thursday nights. And the best part is that Season 2 has somehow managed to be funnier than season 1 which to me is a huge feat because everything this show does is pure perfection. I can even say without hesitation that this show is definately becoming way funnier than "The Office" which i also watch religiously on thurs. nights. I can't wait for season 3 to come out!!! I know Tina has another amazing season waiting for us ^_^
Movie Review: Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
This show is the most clever, funny show on Television and to come out of Hollywood in years. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin (both Emmy winners for their performances) lead a stellar ensemble that's bound to make you laugh everytime and demand repeat viewings. Guest Star appearances also make this show appealing. Specifically, watch for Will Arnett, Tim Conway (who won an Emmy for his performance), and Carrie Fisher. However, my favorite guest star is Elaine Stritch (who also won an Emmy for her performance). "LudaChristmas" is perhaps the best episode of the season. Don't miss out on this clever, sharp, witty comedy that is bound to make you burst with laughter.
Movie Review: I Love This Show Summary: 5 Stars
Granted, this is a full price DVD for what amounts to two-thirds of a season, but I think a rating should reflect the quality of the product. This is a terrific and highly rewatchable show; like "The Simpsons," there are too many jokes to catch on one viewing.
I wish there had been a blooper reel, but there are a lot of good extras: ten commentaries (I like the one with Tina and her husband, show composer Jeff Richmond), a table read, and a live performance of the show with the whole cast participating.
I would recommend this to any fans of the show, and especially to new fans who want to get caught up.
Movie Review: One more reason to love 30 Rock Summary: 5 Stars
Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are one of the great comedy teams ever. Thats enough to love this show. But watch the "30 Rock Live" special feature and that appreciation will turn into affection for this cast. The cast of 30 Rock does a live show to benefit the PA's put out of work during the writer's strike. So not only are they incredibly talented, smart and funny, but they are terrific human beings, putting their concern for their fellow humans into tangible action. I love this ensemble, not in a creepy keeping-their-used-kleenex way, but in a over-the-top annoying telling-everyone-I-know-how-great-they-are way. 30 Rock Forever!
Movie Review: Me want food Summary: 5 Stars
I really enjoyed Season 1 of 30 Rock, but thought it was getting a little less funny in the last few episodes as it spent too much time developing the plot around Jack and Liz's relationships in order to create a cliffhanger. I was afraid that Season 2 might not be as funny as Season 1, but that definitely is not the case. Season 2 is hilarious and my favorite line, "Me want food!" just makes me chuckle every time I think about it. Season 2 of 30 Rock is one of the few TV series DVDs that is well worth the money.
