Movie Reviews of 24: Season Four

Movie Review: Season Four: Twists and Turns Galore!
Summary: 5 Stars

Wow! This season of 24 has been a mesmerizing thrill-ride just like the previous three seasons, all of which had a great storyline, excellent plot twists, and many surprising outcomes. Season four brings in some fresh new characters and has many great unexpected guest appearances. Many familiar faces return for this day of crisis, and the fearsome new villain is played with cold-hearted intensity by The Mummy's Arnold Vosloo. The threat this time around is much different, as there are multiple situations to deal with. Jack Bauer has to make some extremely difficult choices as per usual, but it will be interesting to see where the show is taken next year, especially after this season's ending. Kiefer Sutherland is captivating as the frustrated and tormented Jack Bauer, who has found a new love in his life, the daughter of the Secretary of Defense Audrey Heller-Raines. But their love will be put to the ultimate test during the next 24 hours. This is must-see television and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an original and intelligent suspense-filled drama. Season five returns on FOX January 2006.

Movie Review: 24 nonstop excitement
Summary: 5 Stars

Many 24 'experts' say this season was not as good. They say it was too unrealistic. Well yes this season was. But the entertainment factor was through the roof. As we follow Jack Bauer in his fourth day, he is now working for the Department of Defense in DC. A trip to Los Angeles, and something goes terribly wrong, he is re-inserted back into CTU to do what he does best, whoop some tail. With probably the best 24 villian next to Nina Myers to date, Habib Marwan(played by Arnold Vosloo of the Mummy movies). Marwan is just vicious with sheer intelligence and no weaknesses, and presents many obstacles for Jack throughout the day. Jack has a love interest, played by Kim Raver. The introduction of characters such as Secretary of Defense Heller, Curtis Manning, Paul Raines, Bill Buchanon, the Araz family, Edgar Styles, Erin Driscoll, and Vice President Charles Logan are great additions to the cast. Former players are key in roles here such as Tony, Michelle, Chloe, Palmer, Mike Novick, and John Keeler. With an unbelievable ending this is definitely recommended. Can't wait for Season 5!!

Movie Review: '24 'Season Four Better Than Ever
Summary: 5 Stars

'24' Season Four is responsible for getting my husband and I hooked on the show.
My sister begged my husband and I to watch "a couple" episodes of "24 Season Four". She even came to our home and sat with us. We had taped about six episodes but had not watched it. From the first episode on, we were hooked. We then purchased the Season Four DVD from Amazon. The CLARITY is much much better on the DVD than on a tape. (We have also obtained Season One Through Three, watched Season Five, and cannot WAIT for Season Six).
For anyone who has not seen "24" I highly recommend it. One of the very best shows on television. Even a newspaper columnist wrote last Spring that Jack Bauer should be our next President! I guarantee, once you see one or two shows of ANY of the seasons, you will be hooked. The writers are of genius calliber with the riveting plots, and I marvel at how they can even create another plot...more extraordinary and phenomenal each time! The background music creates even greater tension. Outstanding is too weak a term for "24". It is beyond that!

Movie Review: Mommy, that man from "The Mummy" is a really bad guy!
Summary: 5 Stars

Wow!!! 24 reaches its peak with this season. Jack is back and better than ever! Habib Marvan is their most exciting villain and he is played to perfection by Arnold Voslo (bad guy from "The Mummy"). He is never over the top and plays the character very subtle, which makes him very realistic and creepy. His facial expressions make him a villain that you wouldn't want to mess with. Chloe starts to really shine with this season as the employee that we all have to work with who is sarcastic, snippy, and always has an attitude, but at the same time is very efficient. Besides Marvan, the season also gets great acting from Shohreh Aghdashloo, who plays Dina Araz. She does a great job as she is trapped between the love for her son and the love for her husband. Her son, Behrooz, though, sometimes is pretty annoying. Quick SPOILER: ***What happened to Behrooz? Is he dead? They kind of just made the trade and we never saw him again. Maybe he will make a quick spot in season 6. Who knows?***
Anyway, this is my favorite season as it ends with a BANG...you'll see!

Movie Review: Solid and effective thriller hovered of beating actuality!
Summary: 5 Stars

Jack Bauer is the prototype of the efficiency per excellence, he represents the new archetype of the hero of the modernity. His untiring fight against the myriads of powerful international organizations of fanatics and mercenaries who hate US and want to destroy it, infecting it with poisonous gases, bacteriological attacks or a nuclear Apocalypse.

According the great tradition of the best magazines of the XIX Century (Dumas or Salgari) or cavalry novels of thundering actions, Bauer is the contemporary hero who has nothing to do with bureaucratic procedures, he knows the time is vital for many innocent lives. Every chapter of the series is excellently featured. The superior authorities in general lines, is dull, clumsy and slow thinking.

It's hard to miss every one of the chapters that integrate this new classic, loaded of breathtaking beating, spectacular locations and imaginative scripts.

Absorbing and frenetic rhythm. We really hope and desire a long and productive existence of this original proposal.
