Movie Review: great buy!
Summary: 5 Stars
This was a great value last christmas when it was down to about $145 dollars on sale. I became a 24 fan early last year (2009) when I caught the first few episodes on hulu. For some reason, hulu was authorized for a few episodes of the first season, I'm assuming as a teaser to get people to buy the DVD or watch the current/upcoming season. I haven't seen any episodes except for the first five, so I decided when the price was right, I'd buy. I spent most of january binge-watching all the episodes. It is a fantastic show. currently season 8 is airing every monday night at 9pm, and that also is turning out to be great sofar. you can tune in to hulu online to get the most recent 5 episodes of season 8. :) Even at the current price of $185 dollars, this is a great buy.
I'm giving this 5 stars despite the fact it would be a lot better if the required bridge between seasons 6 and 7 was included (also known as the movie "Redemption").

My wife and I knew we wanted to watch the series but could not commit the time to schedule watching a particular show at a particular time. This series started before we got a DVR and we did not have a TIVO.The picture quality is unreal for DVD. Looks like Blu-Ray! The production quality is like a movie, not at all like any other TV series I have watched.
My son started watching the series at his house before we started and reported back that he was up until the wee hours of the morning watching it because it was down-right addictive. When my wife and I started watching, we were good for 4 shows at a sitting. Like I said, we don't like to schedule time for a TV series. We MAKE time for this series, into the wee hours of the morning.
Great characters, actors, picture quality and plot. No hiccups on playback. All and all, it doesn't get any better than this.
Movie Review: You'll lose sleep, and love it.

No matter how I try to limit myself to only a couple of hours a night, it's hard to not go through more than that. This is a show that keeps you glued to the edge of your chair. If you've never watched "24" it's even better than all the accolades, and if you are a recent convert, the early series are unbelievably exciting and every bit as relevant today as then.
This is the most exciting show on TV. Period. Nothing else comes close. The characters are all subtly flawed and believable, even the bad guys. The action does not stop, and there are constant conflicts, physical, political and psychological. I only wish there were 24 series of '24' to keep me watching for a long, long time.

24 is by far the best thing to come out of a television in the last 30 yrs and before that I wouldn't remember. The character of Jack Bauer never lets you down and you can always expect him to do something, or anything. I bought this set for 150.00 and it is a great value for the amount of entertainment on it. The only drawback with this particular set is the discs do not have the breakdown of episodes on the disc face, it only tells you what season and the number of that disc. This is a minor thing to complain about and it doesn't take away from the show of course. It will be a sad day when this show ends.Movie Review: An all time great!

From the very first season until last episode of the seventh, 24 will keep you on the edge of your seat. I personally, can not get enough. For anybody who hasn't seen it, you won't stop until you watched it all and you'll want more. And while you have to wait, you want to watch these seasons over and over again. Jack Bauer is a true american hero. 24 should will go down as one of the all time greatest shows. I can't wait for season 8. You can pretty much find a synopsis about the show anywhere but if you're reading this, I'm sure you'll buy the show. Ask yourself,"What would Jack do?"
