Movie Review: Less about doomsday and more about hope and the supernatural
Summary: 5 Stars
1. The earth rotational speed is slowing with the rotational speed of the black hole at the center of the Galaxy. NASA claims the gravitational forces at the center of the Milky Way can impact the earth.
2. In Orizaba, Mexico a volcano erupts as Frank and Dr. Trish Lane excavate a religious cross made of solid Gold. The European Christians were in the Americans long before Columbus.
3. Sarah is running in Veracruz, Mexico. Sarah is looking for a doctor to help a village half of whom are ill.
4. In San Diego, a man dieing has a cross on his arm, a native Mayan. The man dies because it was his time. There is a reason for everything.
5. Earth rotation will come to a complete stop: oceans will flood, California and New York will be under water. The President has been given the recommendation to evacuate the West Coast.
6. Sarah's father calls and tells her to leave Mexico.
7. Frank tells Trish that they need to get the cross to the Mayan temple before the end of the long count. The temple of Chichen Itza are at unrest.
8. The fish are dying. The water is hot killing the fish. The raise in temperature is increasing the bacterial count.
9. The West coast is evacuated. Huge climate changes will be starting in 48 hours. High winds are starting. In Chichen Itza snow is falling. "The end of the world as we know it" Susan saw images of the tatoo as a child and says, "I couldn't save him". The computer models are predicting temperatures of negative 20 degrees.
10. The Sun will shine for two days and the sun will fall, the end of the world.
11. Susan is driving to the pyramid of Chichen Itza. Susan does want to believe in God, but she is fighting her atheism. Susan believes that medicine save people. "I watch good honest people die everyday". "This is not a way for people to keep dealing with reality". Susan's mother says, "God loves you and you don't know why". "From the Great Sun to the tiniest thing on the earth, all working together" "You just see the dark side of things. You see death and suffering" "Everyday is a gift" "I pray everyday to God that he will show you the good things". Susan replies, "You're a good mom. You've always been a good mom." "You are the most incredible thing in the whole world." "The miracle of life."
