Movie Reviews of 10 Minute Solution YogaMovie Review: My morning routine Summary: 5 StarsMy roommate owned this DVD and I started using it in February. I just love it. I'm a busy college student - but yoga helps me wake in the morning and get ready for my day. The different 10 minute workouts are great for my schedule. I usually just do 1 or 2 - It's challenging enough, but easy to follow. I have definitely noticed a physical and mental difference in myself - and it's helped improve my posture too!
My roommate recently moved out for the summer and I couldn't handle not having this DVD anymore and had to get my own copy!
I'm sure there are other great yoga DVDs out there - but I'm a happy with this one :)
Movie Review: Perfect Summary: 5 StarsI was looking for a "self-help" yoga DVD and this is it. It has 5 10-minute sessions focusing on different muscles, including one just for stretching. The instructor is very clear and you can mix and match the 10 minute sessions to get a routine that is tailored for you.
Movie Review: Quite a workout Summary: 5 StarsThis DVD contains quite the whole body workout. If you think yoga is just stretching & relaxation, think again. This one is more about building & toning muscles. The ab workout is the best I have ever tried & is real excercise. Lara does a great job at at a perfect pace. The 10 minute divisions are really handy to target body areas. A serious workout!
Movie Review: Decent but why not get yoga from a yoga teacher? Summary: 3 StarsAlthough it is decent, if you want yoga, look for a yoga dvd, from a yoga teacher. I like Lara Hudson in her Pilates series, she also looks better in those. Many Yoga dvds have expellent filming as well. The studio backround is not nice. And even if exercises are almost ok, a yoga teacher would convey some more things that make yoga so special. If you are a Lara Hudson friend then it is a good way to get introduced to yoga postures.
Movie Review: Power-speed, good cued, emphasizing on toning only yoga Summary: 3 StarsI saw this streaming on Netfl-x com
Lara gave much better cues/teaching then Desiree Bartlett did on a beginner slow-paced "Prevention Better belly yoga", but she talks so fast to give the good instruction, you feel like you're on a time crunch & racing to do as much as you can w/o being late for wherever you have to go. I felt this way even when I had time.
Lara has great potential, she seems like a body-aware good yoga instructor, she even always reminds you about moving with your breath which is great, but the emphasis on this dvd is on working out & not body awareness. Lara starts out at a good moderate speed the first 20 minutes, but then got more rushed like the speed of power yoga - 1-3 breaths per pose if you're lucky. This is also not for beginners because of the time crunch/speed of the workout. There are some great moves & is a challenging workout, but even some of my power yogas which are meant to be fast paced are more relaxing. The music is very annoying & might be part of the reason.
