Movie Reviews of 10 Minute Solution: Slim and Sculpt PilatesMovie Review: Great Workout But Tough for Beginners Summary: 4 StarsI have never done pilates and it has been months since I've exercised regularly. This DVD definitely delivers a workout. There are some exercises (the abs workout is enough to let the expletives fly) I can barely keep up with. There are variations so it's not impossible. Also the great thing about the 10 minute segments is that you can start out really, really slow. And if you're just beginning I would recommend that. Maybe try just one 10 minute segment (probably the Pilates for Flexibility) for the first week, then add on other workouts incrementally.
The only slight downfall is the band. It is helpful with the exercises but it can be awkward. Sometimes I am fumbling with it in between moves and sometimes it pops off my arms or foot. But I would recommend this DVD as part of a workout routine.
Movie Review: The best, most effective, kick-butt pilates!! Summary: 5 StarsI recently purchased Suzanne's Slim & Sculpt Pilates DVD thinking "Gosh, I hope I break a sweat on this one" 'cause other pilates tapes didn't do anything for me.Boy,was I wrong!! The resistant bands that come with it makes for a tremendous workout. I was sweating like a dog by the time I finished the last exercise on the first 10 minute session. I am a very active person, I walk everyday and jump rope for about 45 minutes, but this workout tested my limits, by the third day I felt muscle aches from muscles in places I didn't know exist. The abs segment is one of my favorites, I love how my abs look and feel. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOve this DVD and would recommend it for anyone. Suzanne is a great instructor and she's very seet. I definitely will be buying all other products from her.
Movie Review: Great! Summary: 5 StarsHaving all the 10min pilates DVD's, this one is the most effective. The band really targets the muscle groups better and is really fun to use! If you already like the 10min series, you must add this to your collection.
Movie Review: A Challenging Workout That Adapts to Your Schedule Summary: 5 StarsI was really sceptical about this DVD as I didn't believe you could really get a GOOD workout in 10 minutes, so I did all 5 of the 10 minute workouts in a row. I was on the floor, sweating, when it was over, completely exhausted. Suzanne does a great job targeting different areas of the body without overworking you.. She is a pleasant instructor, not annoying or ditzy. My only dislike would be how fast she goes from position to position. It is hard to manuever the band and twist into each new position as quickly as she does. With that being said, I feel like I got a great workout and I look forward to incorporating this DVD into my fitness regime.
