Movie Reviews of 10 Minute Solution: PilatesMovie Review: Best Workout DVD Ever! Summary: 5 StarsA couple summers ago while I was at my dad's house, my stepmom let me borrow this DVD to work out while I was there. I fell in love with it instantly, because of it's user-friendly format, 10 minute workout segments, and the amazing BURN you feel afterwards even though you only did 10 minutes of work! I often put all of them together in different orders, to mix up what I was doing, but even when I was getting more toned, the workouts still challenged me and my improved flexibility allowed for me to stretch each exercise farther, to make it harder. The instructor is very easy to understand, and she always has a smile on her face. I now own this DVD for myself, and I love it still!! :)
Movie Review: Tough on Tummies! Summary: 4 StarsLara Hudson really knows how to work those abs! I have been doing her ab workout every other day for a while now and I'm still feeling the burn! I utilize the ab workout the most. She also offers some equally challenging thigh and buns exercises that I love. My only complaint about this dvd is that, though it may be fairly tough on your problem areas, Lara is not really a motivational trainer. She's rather generic personality-wise and I can't help but find myself drawn to other trainers who are more lively and humorous (i.e. Denise Austin). And believe me, a good trainer makes all the difference in your own desire to stick with your workout routine!
Movie Review: Easy to stick to! Summary: 5 StarsI got this DVD about three months ago with the New Year's resolution that I would start exercising by doing at least one 10 minute segment of the DVD a day.... and shockingly, I've stuck to it!
What I love about it is that the routines move quickly enough to not be boring but not too quickly to feel left behind. At the end of each segment, I can tell I just worked-out (I'm already feeling results) but I never feel like I'm overdoing it.
The music on the DVD isn't great, but it's alright.
I'm going to be on the look-out for more exercise videos taught by Lara Hudson.
FYI: I can't same the same about all the "10 Minute Solution" DVDs. I also bought the Fat Blasting Dance Mix and hated it.
Movie Review: Finally challenged! Summary: 5 StarsI am a fit person and have trouble finding group classes and DVDs that are "hard enough." I enjoy strenght training, but find I bulk up easily. These dvd's were the answer for me! They make me sweat and burn, and instruction is clear enough so I (a pilates novice) can easily follow the exercises.
I love the "create your own workout" feature, allowing you to choose segments in whatever order you want.
The abs, arms, and flexibilily segments are my favorite. Lara's "Rapid Results" dvd is just as good, and I actually like the legs and total body segments better on that one. With both, I won't need the gym for a while!
Movie Review: I just need more excitement Summary: 3 StarsI bought this on the recommendation of a co-worker for two reasons; I have so little time between work and dinner time and this has 10 minute segments AND I wanted a good core workout but have never tried Pilates before.
That said, I have been a fan of The Firm DVD's because I like moving around. I tried this for a couple of weeks and soon got bored with it. First of all unless I don't know what I'm doing, it got annoying having to reset the segments that I wanted to do each session. There is a break between each session that is way too long for my likes. Sooo...I got rid of it.
Guess I'll have to stick the more active type excercise so I just purchased three more of The Firm DVD's which is more my style.
