Movie Reviews of 10 Minute Solution: PilatesMovie Review: Perfect for postpardum Summary: 5 StarsI had a baby about 3 months ago and wanted to lose the baby weight. I use this every day. It's perfect for going around the baby's schedual and the work outs really work! They are challenging at first, which I really liked because as I improved I was really proud that I could accomplish more and more. It works out muscles in my body that I never knew I had.
Movie Review: Strengthen your back! Summary: 5 StarsThis is the first pilates video I ever used. My daughter had an assignment to exercise using pilates three to four times a week for one month. To understand the assignment, I tried out this video. After only a few days of abs workouts, I found my tired back was much stronger. I could stand taller, sit more comfortably, and found myself not thinking about how to avoid back pain. I wish I had started this years ago. I find I am not tense doing this video, and this is attributed to Lara's voice and style. She calmly explains every move in detail and gives you some alternate modifications when needed. She encourages you to push to the last rep without hounding you. I purchased a couple more pilates videos for variety, but this one remains my favorite.
Movie Review: Great pilates workout Summary: 5 StarsI really like the guided pilates instruction. Lara does a thorough job of keeping the right pace and doing a good mix of verbal guidance and exercises. Because of my busy schedule this is a great way to get some stress relief in my day. I highly recommend this to anyone!
Movie Review: Customizable pilates workout Summary: 5 StarsThis pilates dvd has 5 sections: pilates for abs, pilates for buns and thighs, sculpting pilates, pilates burn, and pilates for flexibility. Each are 10 mins and you can play them individually, all in order, or create your own customizable workout, which is a great feature. My favorites were the abs section, scultping section and flexibility section. I work out regularly (cardio, light lifting) and this video is a nice addition to even out and lengthen muscles. I'd recommend this for anyone who has at least seen pilates before, as the instructor explains some pointers, but it's helpful to be familiar with the exercises. Also consider purchasing if you want strong abs, but are sick of crunches. Flexibility section has some great side stretches that are awesome after a long day in front of a computer.
Movie Review: Short Workouts that Work Summary: 5 StarsI really loved this dvd. I bought it looking for some variety in my workout routine. I am really glad I did. My favourite workouts were for buns/thighs, and the pilates burn. I really felt the burn and felt sore the next day, but a great accomplished burn. I would recommend this dvd to beginners and to more advanced people.
